Hi there. I am the new owner of a 2004 F60TLRC outboard. Got it because the two bolts that hold the lower engine case to the steering column broke. They are item 11 in the schematic at http://www.boats.net/parts/search/Yamaha/Outboard/2004/F60TLRC/BRACKET 2/parts.html . So, while there's a bunch of labor to get to those parts, for relatively little extra cost, I'll have a running F60 in great shape. Having worked on multiple different engines over the years - including car, motorcycle and outboard, I plan to get the Yamaha service manual (not Seloc, Clymer or Haynes).
I've found multiple manuals on ebay for F60D, T60D engines. An example is: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2004-YAMAHA...anuals_Literature&hash=item53e8d10612&vxp=mtr . It looks very similar to what's specified on Yamaha pubs, but the manual number doesn't match. But, it's clear these are for the 2004 Yamaha 60 hp four stroke engines. Will this manual work or should I get the specific on on the Yamaha pub site?
I'd love to save the 50%, but only if the manual is correct. I'll then be in the market for the 703 controls & cables, propeller and instrumentation.
It's going to make for a great winter project!

p.s. I have done a similar strip down and rebuild of a Honda 30, so I'm comfortable with what's ahead of me!
