serial number location

Can someone tell me where the serial number is on a 1978 merc 800 80 hp. need to replace an impeller and there are a few different ones out there.

Look on the rght side near the clamps, just below the cowling.

That uses the very , very common -----47-89984T4 -----Impeller.----Every boat shop should have one in stock.
