Hey guys I ordered several parts from this site and have a quick technical question. What is the air gap setting for the new sensor under the flywheel and if it was adjusted too close to the ring guage would this cause my engine to have no fire ? 1989 Johnson 48spl. Thank you in advance.

"My engine had the origional CD2 under the flywheel. I purchased the power pack conversion kit and purchased the air gap ring guage from here that it recommended to set the sensor gap that apparantly tells the pwrpk when to fire. I have no fire at all now and thought I read somewhere that the gap is to be set at .028. I thought if I had it too close it wouldn't read the magnets during rotation. Just trying to troubleshoot in my head while at work. Before I had spark on top cyl.only. I replace power pack, ignition coil, and rectifier and now I have no fire. Wiring is pretty self explanatory. Thanks for the replies guys."
