"I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what to expect from the Seloc manual. I just bought one,and it will be here in a week- seems like its going to be genaric,one size fits all type of thing. I have read some threads on other forums and the feed back doesnt sound that good."

I agree it's better than nothing! I found it to be rather helpful for a basic idea of what you try to accomplish. It helped me not to sound like dunce when I posted questions here. Good for basic terminolgy and an idea of where things should be! I leave mine by the toilet!! Look ofr the thread in this forum for the actual mercruiser manual. Down load it and you will see the difference when your book arrives.

"I've been getting my manuals from e-bay. You get factory manuals in excellent condition for around $15-$25 plus around $8 shipping. These are $72 books if you go to buy new ones. They also sell books on this site in the column to the right. Seloc manuals do a pretty good job of trying to explain things in common terms. They have good pictures, walk you through repairs, and cover alot of info. You won't be sorry that you got it, but you may want to get a factory manual at some point. Between the 2 books, theres just about nothing you can't work through.

"Thanks for the feedback!! I was just wondering what I was getting for my money.The biggest reason I wanted to get something was for winterizing my boat,since the only boats that I deal with are 3000+hp diesel tugs.And there is no need for winterizing those lol ! Thanks again"
