Seale replacement

Will someone tell me about the propeller shaft seals on a 1971 20 hp Johnson I ordered seals for the gear box from here I got one O ring and the housing seal gasket In the gear case head and bearing there is a seal Is this replaceable or do you have to buy the whole gear case head and bearing assembly ? @ 100.00 + dollars

The seal can be removed and replaced.

can you give me part # for the metal washer that holds the seal in thanks phlyura

Sorry for my navigation on this forum but would like to know the part number for the metal seal keeper also When I talkto the sales people they have no idea that it can be replaced or the part numbers A bit of a chore indeed but doable thanks Again

What was the kit number you ordered you probably got the wrong kit. Allways give us the model number of your motor when posting.

I asked for kit was told it didn't exist My motor model number is 20r71s Thanks for your help Phlyyura
