"Can I add seafoam to the oil

"Can I add seafoam to the oil resevoir on an oil injected outboard? I know it will thin the oil a bit, but would it harm the engine? I ran seafoam through the fuel intake line and let the outboard idle until the white smoke stopped. Still idling rough and sputters when I try to go into wide open throttle. I'm almost sure the carburators are gummed because I bought the boat from someone that said that it set up for about a year."

"clogged carbs means no fuel/OIL to the cyl or cyls with the bad carb. Certain death. Stop playing around and fix it right, or due a compression check now and see what damage is already done."

I brought it to the shop this morning after running the seafoam through it didn't fix the problem.
