Well, the seller had forgot to put the manuals with the boat and I finally received them. It appears that for some reason or the other, the previous owner had the pump modified (probably due to the brass getting damaged) with a product from R&R Products, which I have the paperwork now that shows exactly what I described. Went to their website, and wouldn't you know they are out of business. I have the entire instruction sheet for it. Looks like when I need a new pump I would either have to have a part made or just buy a new assembly. Just glad I got to the bottom of it. Thanks for your replies.
