Sea Horse 40 Identification Help

I have a Johnson Sea Horse 40

I have a Johnson Sea Horse 40 on a 1959 (by registration) 14" fiberglass boat. I'm guessing it's somewhere around 1960 but can't find any model number or S/N ID on the motor. It is an electric start/choke engine. Looked on the port transom bracket and the plug on top of the powerhead (which appears to have been replaced) and can't find anything. Any help is appreciated.

" Thanks all for the comments. I got the motor off the boat and cleaned up everything and lo, there is a data plate on the transom mount right in front. Model is 40EL 71B, S/N J3455666. Now to track down a parts manual.
