"I'm looking to decarb my motor. I've used sea foam in my pick-up before, and it worked well in loosening stuck rings. Spay can, in spark plug hole, and in carb. I see they have it as a gasoline additive also. I dont want to do something stupid, but then again my motor was running rich for who knows how long before i got it. If this is benifitial to get rid of the carbon, it's a rainy day, and i got the time."

"Paul, I use a product from Merc called "power tune" - does a pretty fair job cleaning things up - I imagine OMC probably puts out something similar.

So if you have a dealer of either in your area a can of this stuff runs about 5 or 6 bucks..."

Paul Sea foam does a real good

Paul Sea foam does a real good job on getting rid of carbon in an outboard and is safe to use in it.

"Thanks guys, I lost intrest in that project for today. I've been playing around with getting my boat to plane. I'll decarb soon, it seems to need it. The top of the pistons are as black as coal. I'll put this info in the 'ol memory bank and maybe get'er tomorrow."
