I have been flushing the raw water side of my FWC engines since I replaced my risers/elbows five seasons ago along with all the hoses. I've done this at least 50 times with no issues.
Yesterday, the section of hose on my port engine coming out of the strainer and going to the RWP was collapsing while flushing. I did it a couple of times and watched it slowly collapse each time. I tried it again with the seacock open and it didn't do it so (for now) it only appears to be an issue when flushing. The Stb side was fine but it's a longer hose.
i have no idea what changed to cause the issue. I can't remember if I used hose "with wire" all around. I'm assuming the section in question does not have wire but will check. Regardless, it was fine for five seasons. I have no temp issues underway at any speed.
Anyone had this happen before?
