Rubber grommet help

1969 20-hp (20R-69B) Johnson, I have rebuilt this ole girl and she runs like a top, but a new problem has occurred the rubber mounts for the lower engine cover (parts# 0377582) are shot and need replacement. How do I replace these? it seems simple enough at first glance, but I have also broke the heads of on the inside of the cover. Can I just drill out the ones that are stuck and simply slide the new ones in PLEASE HELP!

If you're speaking of those very small mounts which look like minaturized motor mounts, I think you'll find that you'll need to remove the powerhead in order to install new mounts.

Just break them off.----------The new mounts come with a stud on either end.
