Rough idling 88 hp Johnson

----I have a 1987 Johnson 88 hp The carburetors have three orifices for the low speed, intermediate and high speed. The boat came from Missouri and I am in Colorado. The carburetors have been cleaned and put back on but they were in good shape. The boat starts hard, idles rough but the rest is ok. Once you get it started and it gets warmed up it starts easy after that. Anybody care to direct me where to look next. First time I have seen a carburetor with no adjustments on it..I didn't know if there were different size orifices for the idle or not. Please advise. thanks

Not sure why folks pick on the carburetors for trouble shooting !!!!-------Start with a compression test and check that you have spark at each cylinder that will jump a gap of 7/16"or more.

You need to trouble shoot and post your test results !!!-------------I can not see or listen to your motor.--------------At idle there is more time for air to leak from one crankcase to another and major engine damage shows up first as " poor idling "--------------Answer the questions if you want more advice !
