Rough Idle, Running Rich?

My '79 35 horse is running rough, startup is taking longer and the idle is rough and she stalls. I think she's back-firing too. I'm seeing more gas in the water when I turn her off too. Any suggestions are helpful. Thanks.
 
New plugs, rebuilt carb 2 years ago. Brought in to dealer last year since she wouldn't stay running and he said it was a bad gas issue. I've been running only premo ever since.
 
Discovered the problem. After having the carb rebuilt and installed, discovered a pretty good-size fuel leak coming from a small hose below the fuel pump. Upon further inspection discovered the leak to be coming from a small crack on the bottom of the fuel pump. Replaced with a new $120 fuel pump and no more leak, and she's running like a champ again.
