Roller bearing question

Hello everyone, I own a 2004 Yamaha F150TLRC. Recently I drained the lower unit because I had changed out the prop shaft seals. Just making sure I had no water intrusion, which I didn’t. No water but a bunch of shiny metal on the magnet. I found the upper drive shaft thrust bearing gave up. When I pulled the drive shaft all the roller bearings from just above the pinion gear fell into the bottom of the lower unit. I found info that this bearing was a caged bearing, then I found info it was a full complement bearing no cage. I even found info stating use heavy grease to hold the rollers in place so when the drive shaft is replaced they stay put. Please someone who knows clear this up.

It appears to be a caged bearing, that said I had techs say there were full complement bearing. The odd part is there was absolutely no metal chewed up in that area. Just perfect rollers and the race was perfect.
 
Thanks racerone, I did see the same thing in a schematic I looked at, shows one part two separate pieces. If this is the case I’m so glad I don’t need to press a bearing out and in.
