Rochester Quadrajet electric choke wiring

Hi all, I'm new to the group and need some help. I have a 1990 Mercruiser 5.7L 260hp engine. It originally had the divorced choke set up with the Quadrajet. My carb finally crapped out so I purchased a new (reconditioned) marine Quadrajet with the electric choke, single wire. I am needing guidance on wiring it up to power. I know power should come from a key on source, purple wire. I dont have a clue on where to begin, hoping someone can help me. TIA

There should be a purple wire loose at rhe wire harness near the choke. May be a black one also.
That is what they are there for.

If unable to find its the same purple wire that goes to Coil +

Double check it has voltage with key ON.

Also I would recommend connecting the ground wire with a ring terminal to one of the three screws that hold the choke black cap on.
