I have a Mercruiser 350 5.7 l Carburatur open cooling system, running in salt water.
I changed the cylinder head on stb side because the head gasket fail between the two middle ones and it damage the head.
But than I realize that the riser and manifold runs too hot on stb side, So I change Impellor, exhaust manifold, risers, check thermostat, check exhaust flap, flush the engine block, still too hot in stab side at high RPM.
I Notice that the two hose feeding water to the manifold coming out of the thermostat housing were different in temperature the stub one is warmer!?! And the is no restriction n the hose!!!
