Question? I have a 1976 35 hp. Evinrude, I changed over to electric start with a used starter, bracket, solenoid, and electric type flywheel. Has anyone ever removed the ring gear off the electric flywheel then removed the ring off the manual start flywheel and put the starter ring gear on the manual flywheel. I want to do this in case I need to get it started and having trouble with the electric start. It looks like all will fit doing it and the ring will come off as with the manual one also. Thanks.
