reverse hold 1977 35hp

when I put my engine in reverse it just rides up in the water as there is no catch to hold it to the transom.(Evinrude 1977 35hp) I do not know what this part is called or what it looks like. Could anybody help with name or diagram of this part and if possible to find one. thanks guys

Hi jim thanks very much for your help,I did not expect to find it under exhaust houseing,now I have to work out what I have and what I need. thanks again jim.
