Reusing piston rings

"took apart my 175HP V6 1980 evinrude, couple of the piston rings were stuck in the piston. after cleaning they gapped fine. i went ahead and hone the cylinders. can i reused the rings?"

"If cylinders have been honed/de-glazed, change the rings. One thing is the ring gap, but more important the spring tension of the rings. A cheap replacement compared to the cost allready invested in the engine!"
