Hi all, I have joined looking for some pointers. The long and the short is I have an apprentice/internal training trail Monday morning at a large marine services boatyard in europe. I need to cram in as much info on engines as possible. My background is commercial fishing and my knowledge is limited to either 400hp trawler (dragger) or 10hp outboard I know quite a bit but there is always room for improvement and my dream is to be a diesel mechanic, the starting level is winterising and out drives but I have not really touched a mercruiser v6 before! Of course they wil train me but I want to be as useful as possible. There usual engine to service is small penta yacht engines I would really like to bush up on these and basic (simple model) drive engines. So please hit me with any good resources, youtube channels websites and if you could take the time I would appreciate a few pointers of the most frequent services and tasks on an open, non dealer boat yard. Any advice is good I'm gonna be studying all weekend so hit me up! Thanks
