Last 3 seasons have had zero issues
Changed oil and lower unit lube and never used anything but non-oxy gas
Dead battery this june and swapped it out and it runs smooth.
But the check engine light came on (solid, no flashing). But it goes off after a few minutes and then comes back on. No other warnings, oil and temps are fine.
Everything I have read tells me this is a maintenance alarm that needs to be reset.
But the procedures for a Suzuki are not applicable to the Johnson since there is not a separate "kill switch", just the lanyard/cover around the ignition key.
Ideas?
