"My 1975, 115 has the orginal ss 3 blade prop. I have see ad for advanced prop design, i.e. raking, cupping etc.
Is there any practical advantage to consider one of these new designs, such as fuel economy or speed?"

"Mike I would echo the above. If you need to replace the prop because it is damaged, or if it was never properly fitted to your rig in the first place (or you are changing the use - ie, using the boat to ski with now and want that "hole" shot), that is one thing.

But the cost of the prop would take forever to recover based on the minimal or un-noticable changes it would make as far as fuel economy..."
