Repowering with 5.7 Twins

What is the correct way to measure your transom to see if twin 5.7L engines will fit.
I am replacing twin aq171 4 Cyl engines with 5.7 Liter engines. What would be a norm for a center
to center placement of engines. Also what is best way to measure for motor mount placement.

My twin 5.7's are just over 33" center to center...... and I would not want them any closer than that.
I doubt that the 4's offer this spacing.

Somewhere I have the measurements for making a template for engine mount towers.
If you get serious.... give a holler.


Sam, with the AQ 200 or 225 "B" 3" Y-pipe, you can use the 4 cylinder transom shields.
Otherwise, they must be changed out.
