Hi all

I have a few OMC Cobras 4cyl and now moved up in Class.
Have a volvo 350 singal prop 4B carb. I need to repower and can get a Volvo 305/226 4B carb and dp not sure what model but it came out of a 94 Intercept with a 350/260. The "Y" pipe in exixting unit is #854742-1, exhaust and risers are like new in the 305. Will i need to change out the "Y" pipe to #852846-9. Will I make up some hp/torque in the dp what i lost in hp with the 305/226

It sounds like this is one of the AQ series drives... prior to the SX or DP-S style drives.
If so, the Y-pipe between the different V-8's should be the same.
If you are not changing out the transom shield, this should be a non-issue.

Can you post a photo of the drive for us?

That is some scary stuff and a lot of money down the drain
My DP is the older model and is a complete unit, I know where this unit came from had motor issues and has not been touched.
