Hi all,
I am new to the forum and have a hopfully simple question. I have a 2002 Mercury 75 hp 2 Stroke outboard. I bought it used and had no idea when the water pump was replaced last. I puchased the total pump repair kit with housing. After putting it back together I noticed that it does not include a "slinger ring". The dealer said if its not in the box then it doesn't need one. I don't believe it had one to begin with but I'm not sure. After putting it back together and putting the water to it, i had ok flow on the water outlet, but I also had water coming out around the sacrificial anode, which I dont remember it coming from before.
So my questions are, should there be a slinger ring? and should water be coming out from around the anode?
Thanks in advance for any help.
