The existing fuel fitting on my VRO pump is broken. Don't want to spend 400.00 +\- for new one, fuel pump only is 120.00. Question is how to install it? 1995 Johnson 130

Repair parts may be available for the VRO unit.-------Parts are listed right here on this site.-------Some dealers may have the housings stashed away too.---Sounds like an easy repair to me.

On this model pump the fuel and oil fittings are part of the pump and the way the fitting came apart I am tempted to epoxy it back. Both fuel and oil pump still work, the plastic fitting came out of the body of the pump. Has anyone tried this before.

Yes...without success. There is a small flapper valve that may be missing now if the fitting came out. I would buy one off of ebay or spend the $400.00. You'll end up buying one anyways. The repair will only give you problems later or worse....damage your motor.

mmorris: Send me a PM with your email and model number from the motor. I may have exactly what you need.

FYI, had noticed increased oil consumption and smoke at idle and low rpm for awhile, think now that fitting was cracked and sucking air, running rich before it finally let go.

I had to replace all my fuel lines and riser due to the fact the lines were starting to crack and allowing air in. My spark plugs kept fouling at idle...smoked real bad. Everything is all good now. Keep us posted how you make out!
