"Well my lower unit oil is all milky and when I lay it down on its side I get a little of it out the water intake under the exhaust outlet.
I am assuming that it is the driveshaft seal or maybe the shift rod seal. I will be dropping the lower unit next weekend to find out. In the mean time I have some questions some of you may be able to answer:
1) What is the part number for the seal kit for this motor?
2) Will I need a seal puller for this job?
3) Should these seals be coated with OMC gasket sealer or sealer 1000 material?
4) A last hope. If anyone has any step by step instructions or any other thoughts that would be helpful - you can post them here or you cab also email them to me at: [email protected]. I have a Seloc manual but I find them lacking important points.
Thanks for any help."
