Replacing prop shaft seal in lower unit

" I have an 85 Evinrude 115. When I tried to change the lower end oil this fall, all I got out was water... no oil at all. When I filled it back up, oil started dripping out from the prop shaft. Is this an easy fix? Can I just take the old seals out and press new ones in without ripping the entire lower end apart? "

" A 20 year old motor and no oil means just one thing. The lower end needs to be torn down for inspection before resealing.There are seals on the bolts,shift rod, housings and drive shaft. It is not worth doing a "patch" job. "
