Replacing Alpha Gen 2 upper and lower housings

My upper and lower housings are starting to see major corrosion. The gearset and bearings are in excellent shape, so I'm going to switch all internals over into new housings. If all original bearings and gears will be reused, will I need to measure and reshim? Thanks.

Yes.
Machining variences will require verification of gear lash and rolling torques at minimum.

You might also consider a complete aftermarket replacement . Three year warranty. Might be less expensive.
