replaced my 78 johnson with a 91 evinrude both 115, help please

first let me same Im new to working on boats outboards all together, i need help with some sort of wiring diagram to hook together my tilt trim pump with the switch with the switch on the control and side of the outboard for trailer, i have heard i need a seilnod or relay just need to know which way to go, second i don't think my choke is hooked up at all, third and lastly i think, when i switched over the controls to the newer control my shift cable is too short, is this common, i thought it should have hooked right up with it being similar outboards, again im new im sorry in advance, adam

i might add the shift cable is about 2 in too long adjusted all the way in with trans in neu and control
