Replaced impeller on 5hp mariner.

Hi
I replaced the impeller on a mercury mariner 5hp and reassembled it by tipping it on its head.Now it won't start due to what seems to be a
lack of fuel as she starts with starting fluid then dies out.Any suggestions?

Float may be stuck shut. Tap on the side of the carb w/a screwdriver handle to see if it will dislodge. You may have to remove the carb and disasemmble it.
