how do you remove an old cam&screw ay from motor? the one on my 87 Johnson 9.9 broke and I have a new one to replace it but can not get the old one off. Have tried prying it out with a screw driver but will not budge.

You did take the bolt off from the inside , yes ???

what bolt? looks like to me the only screw in the thing is for adjustment and it has to tits that appear to snap into the metal
