Having trouble removing the nu

Having trouble removing the nut on the side facing the engine plate. There is very little swing room. Is there a special tool or trick.

"Had to move the engine data plate, by bending it. Then had to use a open wrench with grinded down shoulders. Very tedious."

"I am going to have to remove

"I am going to have to remove my port starter. It hesitates when I turn the switch to start position. The hesitation varies from one second to 4 or 5 seconds. Some times I have to try several times to get it to work. This is a new problem. I will have the same problem getting the starter off because the engine 50 amp circuit breaker is mounted to one of the two studs that the starter is mounted to. There doesn't seem to be any room to get a wrench on the nut. Jeff or Rick (or anyone else who has been there, done that and bought the t-shirt) can you share a little experience?

Chuck"

That is the same issue I had.

That is the same issue I had. IT can be done very tedious. The open wrenchs may need to be ground down to allow room to swing.

"we used a box end crow foot with an extension one time. When they were removed for overhaul, we had these thin-walled half moon shape wrenches that worked fine...not sure if they will work with it in the boat."

"I had to grind a box end down

"I had to grind a box end down to equal a thin wall box end for the right hand nut, and bend the data plate up and bend the bracket for the solenoid switch up and forward, out of the way to get to the left nut. The box end must be on a 10 or 15 degree angle relative to the handle. Pretty easy this way."
