Removing Pinion Gear

I can't get the pinion gea

I can't get the pinion gear off of the vertical drive shaft (step 12 page 10-72 in the seloc manual). Everything is loose and I have tried heating it with no luck. I am worried that the case might be magnesium so I quit heating it.

Any ideas.

got it off. air hammer to the

got it off. air hammer to the side of the gear loosened it

How did you get the propeller shaft bearing housing off?
