Removing lower cowling from johnson 140

How hard is it and how do you

How hard is it and how do you remove the lower cowling on a 1978 johnson 140. I would like to remove it for easier access to thermostat housing. Looking at it it appears a lot of stuff has to be removed in order to get to it..thanks

That is what im talking about

That is what im talking about. Makes it a real pain to get to the thermostat housing. Had the middle bolt snap when removing the cover. Real pain
