2) install the puller (omc has there own puller) allthough you can use one from an automotive store aslong as you find the correct bolts for the three bolt holes surrounding the flywheel nut area.
3)Now with the puller on and the three bolts surrounding the flywheel nut area installed. Tighten down the bolt going through the center of the puller and your flywheel will come off.

I appoligize, but it's kind of a hard thing to describe. Maybe someone else will have a picture or something to help you further if needed."

"You can use a impact gun to remove the flywheel nut, without holding the flywheel (Dont use the impact gun on the puller to remove the flywheel iteself though, not a good practice.) There is a proper tool for holding the flywheel while removing the nut,If you can't get the right tool, or you cant get an impact gun. Use two people, get one person to wrap a rope around the flywheel in the right direction to hold it, and get the other person to loosen the flywheel nut. Or a large enough strap wrench. One thing you do need to be careful of when removing it, make sure you dont spin the flywheel counter-clockwise, it may damage your impeller(waterpump)

That website will give you an example of the tool that holds the flywheel, it's an automotive one, although it does fit on the larger Johnson/evinrude flywheels, I have one in my tool box. You could check the automotive store aswell, for a cheaper version of that, and it may work for you.
Goodluck!"
