Removed bearing set screw by mistake

I was winterizing my '89 Evinrude 200 XP and accidentally removed the bearing set screw. While it was out (a very short amount of time) nothing was moved. I reset the screw with no apparent damage but did I do something I'll pay for in the spring?

Question, should I take it to the shop in the spring and have them look at it? What is the effect of removing this set screw?

Thanks for your help!

I make it a point to thoroughly clean the threads on both the screw and the lower unit with acetone or lacquer cleaner (Q Tip, Rag, whatever it takes), then applying loc-tite on the threads and turn the screw in until the outer edge is flush with the lower unit surface.

Wow! Great answers and soo quick. This is my new favorite site for sure! I have stowed the boat for winter but will pressure check it in the spring. I'm also guessing that I only partially changed the lower unit lube so I'll finish the job I started.

THANKS!!!
Randy
