Remove Captains Call exhaust from twin 6.2/B1

I’m looking at purchasing a 28’ Chris Craft Corsair that has twin 320 HP 6.2s and Bravo 1s. It was factory equipped with the Captains Call selectable exhaust system. I would like to remove it and run only through the prop hubs.
I can handle the hull side penetrations by welding caps to the hose end of the SS outlets, not a problem.
What I’m wondering is are the Wye exhaust collector pipes leading to/through the transom assembly the same as an engine that did not have Captains Call installed from the boat factory?
Is the Wye large enough to handle all of the exhaust flow from the 320 HP 6.2?
Would the manifolds or risers be different?
Would the engine need to be pulled to make the change?
Anything I’m missing?
Thanks,

I believe they are the same wye pipe, risers and manifolds are the same- just need the down elbows and connections. I think on 6.2's they run an exhaust tube vs a bellows to get better flow with larger engines so yes it should work fine.

Why would you remove the system instead of leaving it on through the prop? Or is it broken and not flipping to quiet mode?

Thanks for the response.
I’ve never seen a set that seals 100% and the ones that seal “pretty good” still sound tinny when closed. It’s probably the difference between the SS tubing and a cast elbow. I like my boats quiet.
Plus they take up a lot of room in the rather compact engine compartment of a 28 Corsair.

Ok makes sense certainly the metal tubing will resonate more than the cast stock components and hard wall hose. It makes sense what you are saying certainly on here and the iboats forum people seem to like thru hulls for about 15 minutes.

If you weld up the outlets on the hull save the parts someone can always put it back in if you sell the boat.

One other thing to keep in mind if the boat is a older the factory insulation/sound deadener will degrade over time and start to flake off. Not sure what they use on Chris Craft but the foam egg crate stuff on my last 2 searays degraded and needed replacement, there are a tone of options ($$$$) but some improvement in sound deadening may get you where you want to be on top of the exhaust changes
