Remote oil filters

I found it very difficult to change the oil filter on my Proline with alfa 1 and 5.7L. Just barely able to get one hand or the other in position and afraid of introducing dirt into the system. No chance of seeing anything. This made me wonder about remote filter adapters. I have no experience with these, but I'm thinking the alternative may be a lot better than repeating the recent fiasco. Maybe someone can give me a bit of insight on the subject. Thanks

Merc sells a kit, maybe this web site may also,

I had mine made at a Napa, purchased the block adaptor and the remote filter adaptor, Napa made the high pressure/high temp hoses.

Mounts on the right side exhaust elbow and I never have to stand on my head ever again............

One thing if you are having hard time, just getting to oil filter.... If you go with remote which is the best thing....you may find it better to lift motor up enough to install the kit....someting to think about before you get a kit

If you go with an after market one, do some research on line about the brand you're considering to make sure it's a full flow design. Some designs have been found to restrict flow.
