i have a 67 50 hp merc outboard and the throtle handle and idler are not set right does anyone have any ideas to where i can find the know-how of adjusting the linkage properly at the handle when i take it apart would be apreciated even videos would work..

Check eBay for an old factory manual--that year would be cheap. Also go to YOUTUBE and search "tiller adjustment".
