" 1978-85hp Evinrude, mod#85899C/Ser#J0003669. Just above the throttle friction adjuster in the front of the remote control box there is an adjustable screw. Can anyone enlighten me as to it's name, purpose and how it should be adjusted?

"Ray.... That's a warm up

"Ray.... That's a warm up lever idle adjustment screw. It's purpose is to restrict the warm up lever from raising up to a level whereas the rpms are too high.
