Reinstalling J88MLSCUS Heads

Ok, I've received all the new gaskets for the heads on my 87 Johnson 88 HP SPL engine. I am looking for some guidance on torquing them done. I have the service manual so I know the order and torque values. My question concerns after torquing them down. How long should I run it on earmuffs before rechecking the torque values? Or do I loosen them up and re-torque them?

Also all i have is a large beam type torque that goes from 0-150 ft lbs. Is this adequate?

Torque to the correct value.-------After first run and complete cooldown you check and retorque as needed.--Do NOT loosen them first !
