refuled, then wont start

25hp merc ob....It started fine but I needed to refuel. Opened tank, pressure escaped. Added correct mixture. closed tank and am having problems starting engine again....set choke and pumped bulb....gas seems to be getting thru hose....what could cause this? do I need pressure in tank? thanks

do I need pressure in tank?

No...there should be a small vent screw to open so it can pump fuel w/o restriction. If the primer bulb goes flat when running then the vent is plugged.
