Does anyone know the part number for the reeds for a 1966 Evinrude/Johnson 80hp? It doesn't show them on the parts diagram shown on this website.
Thanks

It doesn't show just the reeds. #15 shown is the plate which includes the reeds. I have some gaps on mine. I saw in another post that the gap can't be more than.002, is that correct? Also, said they can't be flipped over or bent?
Appreciate any advice.
Thanks

I don’t have the specs but the leafs can be closer to .007 open before they need replaced. Have you checked compression? Those older engines can develop leaks in the bypass cover gaskets or crank seals. Especially if a overheat occurred?

The reeds are very durable and rarely need replacement.----Save those pennies as you may need a bundle of money for piston rings.

Tear it down and inspect everything BEFORE spending any money on parts.----The reeds are very durable and rarely need replacement.----Save those pennies as you may need a bundle of money for piston rings.----Rings are about $50 a set and you would need 4 sets.
