I converted my 20 hp Johnson to electric start. I installed the charging coil, the new flywheel and the rectifier regulator. Problem is when I started the motor I thought I should get 13 to 14 DC volts coming from the charge wire from the rectifier. I accidentally touched the wire and it shocked me. Don’t know why I’m getting high voltage through the rectifier. Any help would be appreciated thank you.
