Recoil Starter for NS25C3

I need a new starter for my 2003 25 hp Nissan. Would a starter from a NS25C2 fit? It looks exactly the same to me so I really think it would but thought I better check before I waste my money. Thanks for any help!

What model is your 2003? The MFS25A (four stroke/carb) motor takes a completely different recoil.

Recoil for M/NS25C2:

346050004M

RECOIL STARTER ASSY Part 346050001 was superceded to 346050004M

OTOH, if you have an NS25C3, the recoil is:

346050004M

RECOIL STARTER ASSY

$175.12

which is identical.
