Recoil Spring Repair.

Hi,can someone help me. I need to replace the recoil spring on my 1998 Johnson 25hp motor. Can someone please outline the steps to put the spring in and how to tension it and the attaching of the starter pull rope. Maybe someone could send me an email with pages from repair manual outlining procedure attached. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

Either get an OMC factory service manual or take it to a dealer. They can be fixed in 1/2 hr or less. Been there.

Putting a recoil starter back together can be tricky....seems that sometimes it takes 3 hands
and most people only have 2 hands. So, you may need an assistant. The factory service
manual is a good investment.
