"Rebuilt the power head, reins

"Rebuilt the power head, reinstalled, and the motor cuts off! There is no sputter, shuts down like the ignition switch is killed! Where should I start? We did raise the motor, could water intake be an issue?"

Shuts down immediately after starting?
Runs for a while first?
Shuts down when throttle opened? At what opening? 30%, 50%, 100% ?
When it starts to plane?
How does it idle in neutral?
Starts easy?
Is oil inj working?
Buzzer sounding? Steady buzz or intermittant?
Pisser flowing?


Why did you raise motor? Cav plate should be half inch below lowest part of stern when trimmed at 90 deg's to spine of hull. How did she run before raising the motor?

Could be tilt switch that's faulty, disconnect all BLK/YEL wires under hood.

Did you work on the EFI? Everything connected up correctly?
