Rebuilding OB Prestolite starter

I am replacing the brush cap

I am replacing the brush cap in the starter motor - Evinrude 115 hp. Should I use any lubricant on the end of the armature shaft? If so what type?

darrel it should have an oill

darrel it should have an oillite bushing pressed into the cap but some type of light oil(3 n 1) should be fine.
