I'm think about taking my lower unit apart to inspect where think clunking noise is coming from when in reverse. (I think it is my clutch dog slipping on reverse gear, I do not ease my outboard into gear, this just started the last 2 times out fishing).... If I tear it down and there is nothing wrong with my mechanical components what parts are going to need to be replaced as far as parts that typically get damaged upon tear down or seals. I have looked at explosion views and seloc tear down chart, I'm just trying to make sure what is needed.... if you have had any experience with this noise or lower unit please give me some ideas kinda stuck at this moment.
